![]() So in my eyes so far it's not the next best thing but rather the next peculiarity we'll have to accept is here to stay. It's lightweight indeed but narrowing you in quite a few ways - even the AMP dev team says it's quite okay having a regular and amp page alongside. Personally I'm taking it as the next new thing not embracing neither denying it since as all things it has pros and cons. Actually - I see AMPs pushed forward in desktop search as well. What the big G guys say is they will actually cache out AMP pages (as long as they validate as such) on their servers and favor them in the mobile search results. Actually if you just look up around the net you'll find pretty much as many pro as anti AMP articles - it's just a heavily cut off way of coding Google proposes and will probably do what it takes to push it forward. The frameworks are the same - the way the blocks are composed is what differs the themes as we talked earlier today.ĪMP isn't neccecarily the next best thing in web. The information stated in the above post is incorrect.Īll the v3 themes are powered by version 4 of the Bootstrap framework - this can be easily checked out by inspecting the bootstrap-min.css generated by the builder using any of the v3 themes - like Mobirise3, SpaceM, ColorM and DirectM.Īctually the very first theme utilizing BS4 was introduced in the late v2 - that is the PurityM theme. Hey glad to hear you found what I shared above useful - that's what this place is about at first place - helping each other. I'm gathering some useful links in the Advice sheet pinned up above - you might be interested taking a look Hope this helps - pls let ma know if you need some more help with anything. The thing is if the main applicaiton didn't exist and the guys behind it - working to actually create something instead of just shouting out loud the mentioned above would be hanging out at someone else's door looking for some blood to suck. The best thing to guess this tool has future is the large number of fake profits trying to make profit shouting out loud how bad things are and how third party tools should be bought to make things right, extra VIP communities formed and so on It has some limitations and a few edges to polish but it evolves by the hour. Personally I m with the project from back in v2 and I love it. Not making any advertisments here but I think if there is one thing you are willing to pay for - that's the Code Editor - its panel looks pretty much like this:Īnd if you look around you'll find quite a few cool stuff and examples how to expend your Builder's capabilities and implement whatevr with it. You can use the free and all the rest themes just as good without it - you just won't have access to the code, but you'll be able to insert blocks, edit them, publish and whatever. ![]() What you can do is create all kinds of custom blocks including Properties Panels controlling them in v4.įor that purpose along with just tweaking your markup and CSS the Code Editor ix used. M3 can be opened and edited by Mobirise Builder v4 just like with v3 however stil you can't switch blocks between them. Regarding the names - basically the number behind the M stands for the version of the main program for which the theme has been created - like m3 are v3 themes and m4 - you've guiessed it - v4 I suppose they can be both used for that changing blocks between each other - haven't tried it yet tough - will probably in a few days. The AMPs are a different story since the AMP project uses a bit different code itself - not a regular HTML so if you like the pages clreated to be verified as AMP (accelerated mobile pages) later on you need to use blocks form the AMPs only. So since the blocks have been written differently in v3 making them v4 compatible pretty much means recreating them from the scratch The reason for this is the advance in the approach the blocks are baing composed the the v4 applicaiton - handling them. When it comes to the v3 themes - that's not exactly so - each v3 theme is a separate pack of blocks you can use to create a website with but you can't intercahnge blocks between v3 themes as well you can't insert v3 blocks into a v4 theme. In order to do it you just need to save the block you like as user block and then - reinsert it in any of the other themes so - they are fully compatible with each other. Hi the v4 themes marked as M4 are fully compatible with each other, yep! You can use the blocks from each one into all the rest of them.
